A rapidly growing international ladies' intimate brand headquartered in South Korea is seeking an experienced Head of China Production and Operations - Lifestyle Fashion -Korean Speaking - Hybrid to drive the next phase of its manufacturing and operational growth strategy across China.
This is a highly visible leadership role, acting as the key bridge between the HQ and China production teams. The successful candidate will be empowered to shape production infrastructure, build high-performing local teams, and establish scalable manufacturing systems that support rapid business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead China Manufacturing Operations
- Oversee production and sourcing operations across China, ensuring consistent performance in quality, delivery, capacity, and cost.
- Manage strategic manufacturing partners and build strong relationships with key suppliers and factory owners.
- Secure stable and scalable production capacity to support business expansion.
Build Agile Production Systems
- Develop responsive manufacturing models that support speed-to-market and operational flexibility.
- Standardize materials, trims, and components to improve efficiency and shorten production lead times.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across sourcing, production, and supply chain operations.
Build and Lead High-Performing Teams
- Recruit, develop, and manage local teams across production, sourcing, product development, and quality functions.
- Drive accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence across multiple locations.
Drive Innovation and Manufacturing Excellence
- Identify and implement automation and advanced manufacturing technologies.
- Lead productivity improvement initiatives and optimize production processes through technology and best practices.
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of leadership experience in any area of apparel, fashion, lingerie, knitwear, seamless, sportswear, or related manufacturing environments.
- Proven experience managing production operations and manufacturing partners within China.
- Strong understanding of sourcing, vendor management, quality systems, and factory operations.
- Demonstrated success building manufacturing processes, teams, and operational infrastructures from the ground up.
- Experience managing cross-functional and multi-site teams.
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance quality, speed, cost, and scalability.
- Native or fluent Korean with strong Mandarin Chinese communication skills.
- Ability to act as a cultural and business bridge between Korea headquarters and China operations.
- Willingness to travel regularly across China, hybrid.
