Production Supervisor
I am partnering with a growing manufacturer and co-packer of shelf-stable wet pet food products to find their next Production Supervisor to join their team in Janesville, Wisconsin.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity responsible for overseeing daily production operations in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The Production Supervisor will lead front-line employees, drive safety, quality, and productivity initiatives, and work cross-functionally with Quality, Maintenance, and Operations teams to ensure efficient plant performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop hourly production employees while promoting a positive culture of safety, accountability, and performance.
- Manage daily production activities to ensure schedules, quality standards, and operational targets are achieved.
- Monitor KPIs, labor utilization, waste, downtime, and line performance while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, food safety, sanitation, and company quality standards.
- Partner with Quality, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams to resolve production issues and improve overall plant efficiency.
- Support employee training, process improvements, problem-solving activities, and operational excellence initiatives.
Preferred Background
- Production, operations, or manufacturing leadership experience within food, beverage, packaging, consumer products, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience leading teams in a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
- Knowledge of GMPs, food safety programs, quality systems, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement practices.
