Project Manager - New Product Development (Air Cooling)

Location: Maple Grove, MN (Hybrid)

Our client is seeking a Project Manager to lead the development and launch of new air cooling products supporting data center, AI, and mission-critical infrastructure markets. This role owns projects from concept through commercialization, coordinating engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and product teams to ensure successful execution.

Key Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional NPD programs from concept through product launch.
Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and deliverables.
Drive stage-gate development processes and project governance.
Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and product management teams.
Provide project updates to leadership and key stakeholders.
Ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM), quality, and regulatory requirements are met.
Manage project financials, forecasts, and resource allocation.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
PMP certification or equivalent project management experience.
5+ years of project management experience in manufacturing or engineering environments.
3+ years leading New Product Development (NPD) projects.
Experience with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar tools.
Strong knowledge of stage-gate product development processes.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.

Preferred Background

HVAC, thermal management, cooling systems, or engineered products.
Experience with AHUs, heat exchangers, fan systems, or air cooling technologies.
Exposure to DFM, DFQ, ERP, and PLM systems.
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
