Senior Project Engineer
The Senior Project Engineer oversees strategic capital projects designed to strengthen manufacturing capabilities, optimize facility performance, and support long-term operational objectives. The Engineering team strives to provide exceptional results by pairing innovation with a relentless focus on engineering best practices and foundational excellence.
Responsibilities Include:
- Lead and execute capital investment projects exceeding $10M, focused on enhancing and expanding chocolate manufacturing operations.
- Manage engineering projects across chocolate processing, molding, packaging, and facility utility systems to support operational objectives.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to production and maintenance teams regarding new equipment installations, process improvements, and system performance.
- Partner closely with Production, Marketing, and R&D teams to align manufacturing capabilities with product development, commercialization, and business needs.
- Manage the full lifecycle of capital projects, from concept development through installation, startup, and operational handoff.
- Oversee project scope, budgets, timelines, vendor relationships, and equipment procurement activities.
- Drive process and operational improvements across manufacturing and business functions.
- Coordinate installation activities with contractors, engineering teams, and plant personnel to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide technical leadership and support to production and maintenance teams while championing continuous improvement initiatives.
Ideal Skillset:
- B.S. in engineering or related
- 4+ years of project engineering experiene
- Experience in the food manufacturing industry or related manufacturing
- Prior experience leading projects up to $3M in budget
