Electrical Design Engineer
- Lead electrical engineering efforts from pre‑sales through commissioning.
- Design and engineer UPS, DC power systems, and switchgear solutions based on customer load requirements.
- Develop control schemes, protection systems, and grounding designs to support reliable power transfer.
- Create BOMs, modify standard assemblies, and support equipment selection (UPS, generators, switchgear, DC systems).
- Coordinate with integration partners, contractors, architects, and internal teams to deliver complete electrical designs and construction documents.
- Perform generator sizing and load analysis for mission‑critical systems.
- Ensure compliance with NEC and local/state/federal codes; support AHJ coordination.
- Support quality control, on‑site integration, commissioning, and start‑up activities.
- Travel to project sites as needed and provide field engineering support.
- Deliver creative, value‑driven solutions that meet customer and project goals.
The Electrical Design Engineer should have the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of electrical engineering experience; mission‑critical or data center experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of low‑voltage switchgear, UPS systems, and electrical codes (NEC).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and project management skills.
- Detail‑oriented with a track record of delivering reliable, cost‑effective designs.
- PE license preferred but not required.
