Plant Engineer (m/f/d)

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety & Compliance: Apply all Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) standards and operational requirements in a GMP and FSSC-certified facility.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrate deep understanding of Methocel LV process technology, equipment, and control systems.
  • Operational Efficiency: Utilise technical skills to maximise asset utilisation and deliver high-quality products efficiently.
  • Collaboration: Partner with Technical Advisors and plant teams to optimise processes and achieve business objectives related to EH&S, production, cost, and quality.
  • Problem Solving: Lead root cause analyses for unplanned events and implement corrective actions in line with business criteria.
  • Troubleshooting & Coaching: Engage in advanced troubleshooting and mentor others to develop these capabilities.
  • Process Control: Co-own process control systems, working closely with operations and control technologists to maintain and enhance performance.
  • Training & Documentation: Support technical training for plant personnel and ensure operating procedures and process descriptions are current and effectively utilised.
  • Cost Management: Collaborate with budget teams to monitor and control operational costs.
  • Global Standards: Apply global tools and best practices for maintenance, reliability, and work processes.
  • Communication: Share technical insights and resolve issues with plant teams and technology centres.
  • Team Leadership: Actively participate in empowered plant teams, taking on facilitative and leadership roles as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in process/plant engineering.
  • Strong focus on EH&S and process safety.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, supported by a robust technical foundation.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Hands-on experience in plant operations.
  • Fluency in German and English.
