Our client is a well-established Hong Kong-based OEM & ODM manufacturer with operations across Hong Kong, China and Southeast Asia, serving global clients in industrial equipment, medical devices, and home appliance products.

With a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and reliability, the company is expanding its regional footprint and is seeking a high-caliber, hands-on Project Engineering Manager (OEM or ODM) to support its next phase of growth.

The Role

This is a key position responsible for managing end-to-end product development and program execution across multiple manufacturing sites. You will work closely with engineering, operations, and global customers to deliver projects from concept through to mass production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project management of OEM/ODM programs (RFQ → development → NPI → mass production)
  • Act as the primary interface between customers, engineering teams, and manufacturing sites
  • Drive timeline, cost, and quality control across multiple projects
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including R&D, sourcing, QA, and production
  • Manage design changes, risk mitigation, and problem-solving during development and ramp-up
  • Support supplier and factory management across China and Southeast Asia
  • Ensure smooth new product introduction (NPI) and production readiness

Job Requirements

  • High Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in OEM / ODM or contract manufacturing
  • Proven experience in project/program management, ideally with NPI exposure
  • Background in industrial equipment, medical devices, or home appliances preferred
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., plastics, metal, electronics assembly)
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to solve technical and production challenges
  • Experience managing cross-border manufacturing operations
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Customer-facing experience with international clients
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced OEM environment
  • Willingness to travel regionally as required within China and Southeast Asia such as Vietnam or Malaysia
  • Fluency of English and Chinese including Mandarin Chinese is a must
