About the Role

We are seeking a highly driven and commercially minded Business Development Manager to accelerate growth within our rail freight portfolio. This is a role for a true hunter-someone who thrives on building business from the ground up, opening new doors, and rapidly creating market presence.

The ideal candidate has a strong track record in rail forwarding, with deep networks within the rail industry and the ability to bring business to the table immediately. Experience working with oil Rail network strongly preferred but not required.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to grow our rail freight business.
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across multiple regions.
  • Leverage existing industry contacts to generate immediate revenue and build a sustainable pipeline.
  • Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor on rail logistics solutions.
  • Collaborate with operations, pricing, and product teams to shape competitive offers.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
  • Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and site visits-requiring regular travel.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in rail forwarding, rail freight, or multimodal logistics.
  • Proven track record of winning new business and delivering revenue growth.
  • Existing network within Rail Network.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset-highly proactive, commercially hungry, and results-driven.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
