About the Role
As a Senior Contracts Manager, you will lead strategic sourcing and contract negotiations for national agreements within the Surgical Medical Device category, with a focus on Orthopedics and Spine. You'll play a key role in driving best-in-class pricing and contract terms for our GPO members, managing a portfolio with an annual spend of $100M-$200M.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead negotiations for national agreements in the Surgery category, ensuring competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Manage sourcing initiatives for categories with low to medium complexity, risk, and sensitivity.
- Own the end-to-end sourcing process: market research, strategy development, RFI/RFP/Bid preparation, contract negotiations, and contract launch.
- Present strategies and award recommendations to internal stakeholders and customer-led advisory boards.
- Oversee supplier relationships during the sourcing process and participate in business reviews.
- Collaborate with internal teams including finance, legal, clinical, and portfolio specialists.
- Facilitate project kick-offs and maintain clear communication throughout the contracting lifecycle.
- Interface with supply chain executives and end-users during live presentations and advisory board meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Healthcare, Business, or Finance (required).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in strategic sourcing and national contract negotiation.
- Experience with Medical Device contracts (Ortho & Spine) preferred.
- Strong background in healthcare supply chain highly preferred.
