Overview
A leading US semiconductor company is seeking a Senior Category Supplier Manager to manage supplier relationships and sourcing strategies for advanced packaging and die-level packaging technologies. This role partners closely with R&D, engineering, procurement, and supplier leadership teams to support future technology development and secure strategic supplier partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage strategic supplier relationships and engage with senior supplier and internal stakeholders.
- Partner with engineering teams to align supplier capabilities with future technology roadmaps.
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to support R&D and technology development.
- Conduct supplier risk, business continuity, financial, and quality assessments.
- Monitor market trends, supplier landscapes, and emerging technologies.
- Lead commercial negotiations, supplier agreements, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for new equipment and technology programs.
- Support forecasting, supplier performance management, and procurement handoff to manufacturing teams.
- Collaborate across R&D, operations, procurement, quality, and engineering organizations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Extensive procurement, sourcing, supplier management, or category management experience.
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship skills.
- Experience working with semiconductor equipment, advanced packaging, or technology-related suppliers.
- Ability to assess commercial, operational, quality, and supply chain risks.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Experience working in global and cross-functional environments.
