Position Summary:
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing to lead procurement initiatives across our food and beverage manufacturing operations. This role will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, and supply assurance for key categories including ingredients, packaging, and indirect materials. The ideal candidate will bring deep sourcing expertise, strong supplier relationship management skills, and a passion for driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced, consumer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key spend categories aligned with business goals.
- Conduct market analysis, supplier benchmarking, and risk assessments.
- Lead RFPs, RFQs, and contract negotiations to secure optimal terms.
Supplier Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with suppliers on innovation, sustainability, and cost-saving opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with R&D, Quality, Operations, and Finance to align sourcing strategies with product development and operational needs.
- Support new product launches and capacity expansions through effective sourcing plans.
Data & Performance Management
- Analyze spend data, market trends, and KPIs to identify sourcing opportunities.
- Report on savings, compliance, and sourcing effectiveness to senior leadership.
Compliance & Risk Mitigation
- Ensure sourcing practices comply with company policies, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA or CPSM preferred).
- 8+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, preferably in food & beverage or CPG.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement tools.
- Knowledge of food industry regulations, sustainability practices, and supplier quality standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
