Carbon Fiber Business Development Executive

Brief Overview

Senior business development leader responsible for driving global sales growth and expanding the adoption of carbon fiber composite applications across key industries such as transportation, energy, and infrastructure. This role focuses on building strategic partnerships, developing market strategies, and positioning products within complex international supply chains while leading high-performing teams and aligning technical, sales, and marketing efforts. Must have direct carbon fiber experience.


Key Requirements

  • Develop and execute global business development and sales strategies to achieve growth targets
  • Identify new markets, customers, and application opportunities for carbon fiber composites
  • Collaborate with internal teams, partners, and supply chains across North America, Europe, and Asia
  • Establish pricing strategies, product positioning, and go-to-market plans
  • Monitor sales performance, KPIs, and market trends; report insights to senior leadership
  • Lead and develop sales teams, drive performance, and implement best practices
  • Engage directly with customers and industry stakeholders to understand technical needs and application strategies
  • Support product development, training initiatives, and technical solutions aligned with market demand
  • Manage budgets, operational plans, and forecasting aligned with company objectives
  • Represent the organization at industry events and conferences

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in carbon fiber composites (required), including application development
  • Strong background in strategic business development, sales execution, and market expansion
  • Demonstrated leadership experience building and managing high-performing teams
  • Deep industry knowledge in carbon fiber, composites, or related materials manufacturing
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Proven track record of driving new business, customer acquisition, and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
  • Experience working in global markets and cross-functional environments; international exposure preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., engineering, chemistry); MBA preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
