We are working with a Logistics service provider in the Netherlands that are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team in Rotterdam (could also be based out of the Hague).
Job Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute business development strategies aimed at driving sales growth within The Netherlands, encompassing the acquisition of new clients and the organic expansion of existing accounts.
- Develop and uphold a comprehensive client/market database to facilitate and initiate business development and commercial initiatives.
- Sustain a robust business development pipeline to ensure consistent commercial operations, support client diversity objectives, and furnish progress updates.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Sales to enhance revenue from existing accounts.
- Extend your professional network within the food industry, including fruit, in The Netherlands, through participation in industry events, exhibitions, and sector meetings to enrich your customer base.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management, with a strong emphasis on client acquisition and business development.
- Experience within the food industry and a background in temperature-controlled supply chain management are advantageous.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of distribution, warehousing, logistics, transportation, or retail.
- Maintain a well-established commercial network within the industry.
- Exhibit a compelling ability to motivate and influence others based on your experience and personality.
- Be an outstanding team player with exceptional skills in time management, communication, decision-making, organization, human relations, negotiation, training, and conflict resolution.
