Director of Continuous Improvement & Quality required for Automotive Manufacturer

The Automotive Manufacturing Subsidiary of a Fortune 300 Company is searching for a Director of Continuous Improvement & Quality to transform the plant through strategic deployment whilst developing and maintaining quality systems that comply with customer expectations.
The Director of Continuous Improvement and Quality will utilize the lean toolkit and create a statistical based/KPI driven system at this single site. Supplier relationship management and customer interface will be crucial to benchmark the ideal state of the facility.
The Director of Continuous Improvement & Quality will have the following responsibilities:
- Ensure the Quality and CI functions through manufacturing, engineering, and sales & service
- Create standardization, and organize the quality department and supplier quality programs, approving plans and expenditures to achieve set goals
- Develop, implement, and maintain delivery of training materials; coaching other Black Belts, Green Belts, and Lean Technicians throughout the organization
- Act as a Change Agent at the site level for a facility undergoing CI transformation
- Lead efforts to reduce COPQ (cost of poor quality), improve key metrics such as warranty and FPY (first pass yield)
The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Management Science or related field
- Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
- 10 years of Quality Management experience
- 5-7 years of General Management/Plant Management experience
- Extensive multi-project management oversight, communication, and presentation skills required
