Summary of the Electrical Engineer:
A leading manufacturer in the consumer goods industry is looking for an Electrical Engineer to add to their team! This organization is known for designing, producing, and marketing a range of hygiene products and serves healthcare, retail, and direct-to-consumer channels with well-known brands and private label offerings. As the Electrical Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in planning, designing, and supervising the installation of electrical industrial control equipment. The Electrical Engineer will also oversee the implementation of engineering projects and provide crucial support to maintenance and operations teams.
Responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer:
- Implement software and hardware changes for product updates, new machinery, or technological advancements.
- Analyze data on waste, quality, and downtime to prioritize improvements to plant systems.
- Provide documentation updates and training for maintenance and operations on plant electrical control systems.
- Support maintenance team across all plant operations as needed.
- Take ownership of electrical project components from inception to completion, including scope definition, cost estimates, design, implementation schedule, and installation support.
Qualifications of the Electrical Engineer:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in PLC logic, industrial communication networks, motor controls, feedback control systems, three-phase equipment, and servo drive systems.
- Familiarity with vision system technology, particularly camera-based inspection systems, and programming software.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications of the Electrical Engineer:
- Experience in maintenance and projects involving high-speed converting equipment.
- Knowledge of plant electrical and mechanical systems.
- Basic understanding of electro-mechanical equipment and analytical troubleshooting.
- Background in maintenance support.
