A Nationally-Recognized Food & Beverage Firm is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Manager to join their growing team! This person will provide the leadership and planning needed to maintain a close-knit and tenacious Maintenance department within the plant, while providing technical services for the facilities and equipment. The ideal candidate will have an extensive proven history of team development and LEAN Manufacturing, along with experience in the Food & Beverage Industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Has direct oversight of the work of technical maintenance staff, contractors, or subcontractors
- Receives and reviews requests for maintenance and prioritizes maintenance activities based on urgency and availability of resources within the plant
- Supports the production team to ensure a clean and safe working environment at all times
- Manages the preventative maintenance system and ensures all systems are running efficiently at all times
- Identifies areas where Lean initiatives can improve efficiency within the plant
- Directly oversees safe work practices of all employees and mechanics within the plant
- Inspects building and grounds regularly to identify current and potential maintenance needs
- Troubleshoots and oversees diagnostics and repair of controls and automation
- Ensures that equipment and facility resources are continuously upgraded and available for use at all times
Required Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred
- 5+ years of relative Maintenance and Facilities Management experience
- Ability to complete complex tasks which follow established processes
- Formal Lean Manufacturing training is highly preferred
- Must be team-oriented and a proven leader in the manufacturing industry
- Experience within Food & Beverage or Ammonia Refrigeration Required
