This company is one of the few providers in design, manufacturing, and distribution of Cranes in the US. We are looking for a result and detail-oriented individual to work, learn and grow with a team of dedicated professional Engineers. You will be working to design and manufacture in-house manufacturing equipment, as well as direct the manufacturing of equipment built by outside vendors. This includes both new and retrofit equipment of existing production lines.
The Manufacturing Engineer responsibilities include identifying areas for improvement, maintaining high levels of manufacturing and product quality, designing new processes and equipment. You will also coordinate between Manufacturing, Maintenance and Engineering to accomplish New Product Development as well as support continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate manufacturing processes, apply knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials, conferring with equipment suppliers and shop floor team members.
- Develop and document manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work-flow, space requirements, and equipment.
- Provide manufacturing engineering information by analyzing production data, including labor hours, material costs, and scheduling.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelors in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent work experience
- 2-6 years of experience in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering
- Experience with CAD and/or Solidworks
- Strong communication skills
- Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office, Word & Excel
- Open to any background (ISO 9000 and/or TS16949)
