Our client is seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to join the team as a Production Superintendent. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations and leadership roles.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading adherence to safety and housekeeping standards
- Managing the safety training program
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations
- Managing and coordinating production to meet customer requirements and budget
- Leading and motivating the workforce
- Addressing employee relations issues
- Investigating customer complaints
- Fostering communication and relationships within the company and with external customers
- Staffing and training employees
- Evaluating and coaching subordinates
- Enforcing plant rules and policies
Key qualifications include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, Business or other related discipline
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively
- Experience in batch manufacturing processes and operations
- Familiarity with working in a unionized environment
- Experience in a PSM (Process Safety Management) facility
- Knowledge of fully automated plant operations
