Our client is a leading global management consulting and professional services firm with a strong presence in the DACH region. They are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Category Manager to join the procurement team and play a pivotal role in shaping supplier strategies in the Professional Services category.
As the Regional Category Manager for Professional Services, you will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that enhance supplier performance, reduce costs, and drive innovation. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across the DACH region to understand their needs, negotiate contracts, and drive supplier performance improvements.
- Category Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive category strategy for Professional Services that aligns with business objectives and market trends.
- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and performance excellence.
- Negotiations: Lead contract negotiations and supplier agreements to secure favourable terms and conditions.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with the category and suppliers.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
- Cost Optimization: Drive cost reduction initiatives and identify opportunities for cost savings within the category.
- Innovation: Foster innovation within the category by exploring new suppliers and technologies.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or category management, with a focus on Professional Services.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in English and German is a must.
- Experience working in a multinational organization is a plus.
