Title: Sr Manager Engineering and Facilities

Summary: A well respected Fortune 500 specialty retail company is searching to add a Sr Manager of Engineering and Facilities to their Jacksonville FL location! This position will be a highly hands on technical position within their distribution center. As the Sr Manager of Engineering/Facilities, you will be managing up to 15 direct reports, ensuring the smooth operation of material handling systems and working in cross functional teams for continuous improvement. Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline
- 3+ years of direct leadership experience
- Experience in warehouse or distribution centers
- Extensive experience with maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimisation of material handling systems (pallet conveyors, automated sorters, etc.)
- 5+ years of controls experience (Allen Bradley PLCS, SCADA, HMI, VLC, Wonderware etc.) and industrial networks (DeviceNet, SDS and Profibus, Ethernet I/O)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution during equipment escalations within the Distribution network.
- Maintain technical expertise in material handling systems, overseeing modifications for optimal performance.
- Act as the SME for electronics equipment, collaborating on system changes with HQ resources.
- Ensure complete facilities maintenance services within budget, monitoring team performance and vendor relationships.
- Communicate ongoing maintenance activities, update on project works, and liaise with suppliers for timely and budgeted services.
- Monitor monthly KPIs, including repair time, response time, and budgetary control.
- Enforce safe workplace practices and promote the development of team competencies.
- Lead and manage the team effectively, conduct periodic equipment inspections, and address instances of poor service.
- Manage site maintenance requirements across disciplines through approved vendors.
- Identify and recruit for vacancies, provide emergency call-out cover, and meet regularly with property managers to report on service and budget performance.
