Procurement and Logistics Data Manager

The Role
We are looking for an experienced Procurement and Logistics Data Manager to provide strategic as well as tactical development, execution and use of data systems to deliver best in class business decision KPI's. You will discover efficient ways to organize, store and analyze data with attention to security, accuracy, timeliness and confidentiality.
A great data manager is able to fully grasp the complexity of data management and understand the uses for this data. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of databases and data analysis procedures. You will also be tech-savvy and possess excellent troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of accounting practices, accounts payable, inventory management and logistics all a plus.
Responsibilities
- Create and enforce policies for effective data management.
- Formulate techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy of data.
- Developing robust systems for communication and data gathering from Contract Manufacturing partners required.
- Establish procedures for data sharing with upper management, external stakeholders etc.
- Support and train others in the daily use of data systems and ensure adherence to legal and company standards. You will be the SME for all Data Management questions.
- Assist with custom reports and data extraction when needed.
- Manage Supplier Agreement records.
- Execute and manage RFI / RFQ and RFP documents under the direction of Sourcing Teammates
- Assist with partner inventory and accounts payable issues collaborating with internal assets.
- Monitor and analyze information and data systems and evaluate their performance to discover ways of enhancing them (new technologies, upgrades etc.)
- Work with internal IT resources to ensure digital databases and archives are protected from security breaches and data loss.
- Troubleshoot data-related problems and authorize maintenance or modifications.
- Use data analysis to solve business problems, draw conclusions, & insights that are not immediately obvious.
Requirements
- Proven, successful experience in a data management role.
- Proven, successful experience working with cross-functional Teams.
- Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, distribution etc.).
- Familiarity with modern database and information system technologies.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word etc.).
- An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- BS/BA in computer science, Business Administration, or relevant field.
